Top Five Reasons You Need A New Website

E-mail Print PDF

It still amazes me every time a business owner asks ”why do I need a new website, I don't get any business from the internet". Often it is quite difficult to restrain from yelling "what have I just spent the last two hours talking to you about? Of course you don't get business, people either don't know you exist or don't think you're legit. Why did YOU call me if you're not going to listen?!"

Since I generally direct people to my website before meeting with them...It seemed prudent to compile a "pre-meeting list

"5 Reasons Why You Should Have a Website"

1. Sales, Sales, Sales
People want to know what you can do for them and what you have done for others. Your website is the ultimate salesman, except most websites cost less than you pay a good salesman in a month, and you generally can keep the same site for 3+years. So you can have the slickest, most informed, most concerned with closing deals for your company salesman that never sleeps...a don't. Your choice.

2.Because it's where they customers are...or where they're going
The beautiful thing about your website - or lack there of - is that it can operate independently...and bring new business. Or compliment traditional media campaign i.e. radio, tv, billboards and even the yellow pages. Although nobody under the age of actually uses the yellow pages any more.

3. 24/7 Access
Customers shop and compare prices now more than ever before and the internet offers a powerful, quick and efficient way to do so. If your competition is online, you should be there also. Your customers can go online 24 hours a day, seven days a week to get answers and information about your business.

4. Instant Legitimacy
If you looked at your website like the "FIRST" impression of you business most customers have, you would have the best website money could buy. You wouldn't let your physical location get old and dingy looking would you? First impressions count, especially when trying to win a potential customers trust.

5. The Great Equalizer
The internet was built so people can act bigger and tougher than they really are, just go on any online dating site. The great thing about it, you can fake it till you make it. Ask yourself this question. Does the top dog in your industry have a great website? 9 out of 10 times the answer is yes. Great thing is, you can look like YOU ARE the top dog till you ARE the top dog.d by prospective customers.

Hopefully those are 5 reason that make getting a great new site a no brainer! I'm not trying to say every company needs a $100k website. In fact I'm saying the opposite. With web technology advancing by the day, sites that cost $100K years ago cost $30k now. Sites that cost $20k cost $5K. Don't settle for the $299 website folks and don't get ripped off by the guys trying to charge $10K for a 5 page site. Site down and talk with me. Let me come up with a plan that fits your business, and will get results! Requisite cliche included for free.Link
